Don't Panic...Finding Anna will be back soon. #Romance #Series
The ebooks for my Finding Anna series are in the process of being removed from all retail sites. But don't panic. They aren't going away. Not forever anyway.
On July 31st, the publishing rights for the books revert back to me from the publisher. I will be republishing with new covers hopefully sometime next week. I was hoping to have them up again on July 31st, but a lot of things happened making that impossible.
I've also been asked if there will be any changes to the books when I republish. They will have new covers and I've gone through the books and corrected some grammatical errors. Other than that, they will be the same books you know and love.
If you have any other questions for me regarding the series or its re-release, leave a comment below and I'll try to answer them.

#NewRelease Breathe Again by Sydney Logan
It’s release day for Sydney Logan’s Breathe Again, and I am so excited to share it
with you! Check out the excerpt and release day goodies, and be sure to grab
your copy of Breathe Again while it’s on sale!! About Breathe Again:
From the bestselling author of Songbird comes a story that will make you laugh, cry, and believe in the power of second chances.
Carrie Malone has seen enough heartbreak to last a lifetime. Her family’s demons gave Carrie the courage to move away from home and leave her past behind. Now a college senior, she stays busy with her classes and her job at the diner. It may sound boring to some, but to Carrie, the very best thing about her new life is that every day is calm and blissfully uneventful.
That all changes the night Josh Bennett walks into her diner. With his dirty designer suit and mud-caked shoes, Carrie’s not sure what to think about the broken man sitting at her counter. She’s even more confused when he doesn’t touch his coffee . . . and leaves his Rolex watch as a tip.
Josh Bennett has nothing to live for. Starved for affection and deep in despair, he’s looking for a tender touch. A kind word. A giving heart. A shattered and broken Josh finds himself standing on a city bridge, looking down into the freezing river that will undoubtedly bring an end to his pain. He’s prepared to jump. He’s prepared to die. He’s not prepared for the pretty waitress who finds him there by the river’s edge.
When two lost souls find each other in the dark of the night, can they give each other a reason to breathe again?

Choosing The Best Cover For Your Book #Marketing
How do I go about getting a cover for my novel and how much will it cost me?
This is a question I hear a lot from new authors. Some of us who've been doing this a while forget that not everyone knows what options are out there when it comes to covers. The subject of getting a professional editor for your manuscript is talked about often enough, but covers seem to be one of those things that gets swept under the rug and not thought about until the last minute.
When it comes to covers, there are four basic options.
1) Pre-made cover. ($10-$50)
This is a good option for first time authors. It's the least expensive an what you see is what you get. Authors don't have to worry about working one on one with a designer to make sure color and lighting of a photograph works for the tone of their book. It's all already there.
With pre-made covers, authors find one they like, and the artist slaps the author's name and title on it. Done.
(Pre-made cover example provided by Bargain Book Covers.)
2) Stock Photograph w/cover design. ($10-$70 average for photo + $45-$200 for design)
If you're one of those people who like to have a bit of a say in the design of your cover but don't want to spend a ton of money, this option might be for you. There are lots of stock photo sites out there, such as deposit photo or adobe stock, where photographers upload their pictures to sell to the mass market. Authors can search through these sites, find a picture they want for their cover, and purchase it. A lot of these sites have options where you can either buy the pictures one at a time as you go (more expensive) or subscribe to their site in order to download multiple pictures on a more regular bases (less expensive).
One thing to keep in mind with this option, like with pre-made covers, the pictures on these sites are sold over and over again. It's not uncommon for several book covers to have the exact same stock picture.
3) Exclusive Photograph w/cover design. ($200-$600 average for photo + $45-200 for design)
If you don't like the idea of someone else having the same picture on the cover of their book as you do, then an buying and exclusive photograph might be a good way to go. With this option, the photographer is agreeing not to resell the same picture to anyone else.
Be careful with this option, however. Make sure you read over the licensing agreement the photographer sends you as some exclusivity rights do have an expiration date or limit your use of the photo. If you aren't sure, ask.
4) Custom Photograph w/cover design. ($800+)
This option is the most flexible, but also the most expensive. The great thing about having a custom photograph done is that as the author you get to have a say in everything. You get to pick your photographer, your models, how you want them posed, the tone you want to set, and even the use of any props. Because of this, the costs vary greatly depending on shoot fees, modeling fees, travel expenses (if any), and items that need to be purchased or rented for the shoot.
Any, this is a situation where an author can't be afraid to ask questions. Know what you're getting for your money and make sure you read over the contract. Know what you're getting for your money.
If you're an author, which of these options do you use? Does it matter to you if someone else uses the same picture on the cover of their novel that you have on yours?
Readers, what about you? Do you care if the book has a unique cover?

#Review Captured Innocence by Kennedy Layne
Author: Kennedy Layne
Rating: 4 stars
This book was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I'm always leery of reading BDSM books because I'm picky. Very picky. This one, however, was right up my alley.
The author did a great job with Lauren's character set up. Her issues, once explained, were believable as was Connor's response. Both of the main characters were easy to relate to I found it hard to put the book down at times.
There is also a mystery to be solved. Sometimes I can figure it out, or have a good idea who did it before it's revealed, but not in this one. I didn't figure out who was behind the murder until the characters did.
Readers were also introduced to the rest of the Crest Security team. Each one of them has their own issues, and I'm curious to see how they will each get their HEAs in future books...especially the owner of the security company, Gavin Crest.
There were some missing words in the text, but nothing too major. It didn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the story.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a sexy romantic suspense with some kink.
