“Thank you.”
One side of Alexander’s mouth quirked up in a half smile. “Maybe you should wait until we compare lists before you thank me.”
She chuckled.
“You never know. I might be a wicked sadist.”

Longing for His Kiss

Eight months ago, two uniformed men showed up at Grace Martin’s door and told her that her husband wasn’t coming home. She’s tried to move on, but nothing will make that ache in her chest go away. Kurt wasn’t only her husband. He was also her Master. With him gone a part of her is missing and she has no idea how, or even if, she can repair the hole that has been left.

A lot has changed in the last eight months for Alexander Greco. He was injured, spent six months in a VA hospital recovering, was discharged from the Army after ten years of service, and then moved himself halfway across the country to find his friend’s widow. He has a letter to deliver to Grace—her husband’s final goodbye.

Little does either of them know the letter contains something that will change both their lives.

Grace took a shaky breath, opened her car door, and placed her feet on the pavement. Each step she took toward the brick building felt heavier than the one before. She felt naked. Exposed. And utterly terrified. It was the first time she’d been without her collar for almost ten years.

#Romance #Review A View To A Thrill by Lexi Blake

Title: A View To A Thrill
Author: Lexi Blake
Rating: 3 stars

I debated on writing this review for over a month, but ultimately decided to post it. I read my first book my Lexi Blake about two years ago and I loved it. Sean and Grace's story was amazing. I fell in love with them and couldn't wait to dive into more books in the series.

A View To A Thrill is the seventh book in the series and it was a book I was really looking forward to. The author had been setting up Simon and Chelsea's book since we met Chelsea and her sister in book five. To say I was disappointed in how the story unfolded is putting it mildly.

I will say if I had read this book without having read any of the other books in this series, while I might not have loved it like I did Sean and Grace's book, I would have most likely wanted to read more from this author. As it is now, I have no plans to read anything else from this author in the future.

After reading seven books in the series I've notice that all of the heroes, Dominants, have the same likes, dislikes, requirements, etc. The only variation was in book two, which was a menage. But even then the two Doms still required the same protocols for their submissives and the submissives all seem to have the same likes, dislikes, limits, etc. It has started to feel as if I am reading the same book over and over again, which is very disappointing.

The writing and editing is solid, as always, but I can't seem to get past the character repetition.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romantic suspense with a little kink thrown in for good measure.

She snaked her hands between them and began unbuttoning his jeans. When her fingers brushed against his cock he sucked in a breath, trying to steady himself. He wasn't even sure she'd meant to do it, but his body didn't care.

As soon as he felt the zipper release, Jax pushed his jeans down his legs before kicking them the rest of the way off. She wasted no time circling her legs around him again and drawing their lower halves together. The feel of her against him, only two thin layers of fabric between them, was close to torture. He wanted to be inside her, but he also wanted to feel every inch of her first.

Tangled in His Embrace

Jax Brooks has made a lot of mistakes in his life, but the only one he regrets is when he walked away from Gabby and their newborn daughter. Now he's back in St. Louis and he's determined to make things right. No matter what it takes.

Deep down, Jax hoped one day he’d be able to make it up to Gabby, to love her again the way she deserved. But for now he’d content himself with her being able to look him in the eye and not shrink away from him every time he came near. It was a lot to ask, he knew that, but he at least had to try. For Taylor’s sake.

And for his own. He needed Gabby, and those three years without her in his life had only solidified that fact.
