Flash Fiction Friday - April 12, 2013

This week's picture comes from Stockvault.

It was a long drive, and one I hadn’t planned on making for several more years at least. Life, however, had different plans.
Not much had changed over the last five years. Corn and soy bean fields stretched as far as the eye could see. Every now and then, you’d see a house, but they almost seemed out of place in the vastness.
The large two story house of my childhood came into view as I rounded the last curve. Everything looked the same from here. It looked as if nothing had change, but I knew different. Everything had changed.
